Are there any benefits to using a doula?
Yes, the research shows that having a doula present can lead to better birth outcomes through: less NICU admissions, improved breastfeeding rates, and even improved family bonding. Doula care can also mean: shorter labor, lower episiotomy rates, reduction in C-section rates, and the reduced likelihood of using pain medications.
